The Magic Pill

We all want the magic pill that's gonna give us those quick and easy weight loss results.

But as good as that sounds, those things never really work….

Weight loss takes some effort - plain and simple - most things that are worth it do...

We’re all busy and leading hectic lives. It's not always easy to make your health a priority...it’d be much easier if we could just drink that “fat-burning” tea (which is really just a laxative…) than to have to make healthy meals.

But the thing is when those quick fixes don't work...we feel frustrated , and disappointed and then we blame ourselves...when really that latest greatest hack wasn’t ever going to work...at least not for the long haul.

It's actually better (and often faster in the long run) to put in the time and effort to get to the root cause of your weight gain, to rebalance your hormones and get the healthy habits in place that will help make your weight loss sustainable.

Here are the top three things you can do to focus on right now to help get you back on track: 

1. Focus on real whole food - keep it simple -  think Protein first (that's the priority), add some fat for cooking and for flavor, and then add on a non-starchy veg for variety.

2. Give yourself a bedtime!  For real - sleep comes in a close second behind the food when it comes to weight loss.  You can have your diet dialed in, you might have the perfect workout plan, but if your sleep is off you’re just not going to see the results you hope for.

3. Remember there is no wagon!  If you have a slip up, just get right back on track with your very next meal.  One meal doesn’t undo your progress, don't let it send you down that slippery slope of self sabotage.
